After moving to Sweden I began developing my passions for Videography and Digital Currency. I enrolled on the world’s first digital currency course at the University of Nicosia, this inspired me to begin working on my startup Qwids, using an early technology protocol called ColouredCoins. I began interviewing blockchain startup founders in 2014, and in 2017 released a short pilot documentary entitled – Founded. The film tells the story of six Swedish entrepreneurs (against all odds) working to build successful businesses within the blockchain space and can be viewed on the BitJoin Youtube Channel.

Motivation I have always had a strong inclination for investigating what those in the blockchain industry are looking for, what they believe and what they are aiming to deliver by harnessing this technology. I believe this type of observation over time can be best expressed through the documenting and recording of ideas prevalent in the space by those attempting to build real world applications using blockchain technology, with the tools available and providing access to this information in a format that is easily digestible. Over the past several years i have interviewed over fifty unique and interesting people across Europe, from Swedish politicians to Russian esports professionals, Innovative Goldsmiths to Capoeira masters. However, over the past few years my main focus has been on those entrepreneurs and software developers pushing forward what was then, and to some extent still is, the primitive technology known as blockchain. History I’ve been producing videos since 2014 starting with ‘How to’ videos for my up-cycle blog – MakeMendMakeDo. In 2015 i started Tellafoto and began shooting video commercially, producing and marketing real estate video. I moved on to producing short documentary-style commercials and in early 2017 under my label BitJoin i published my first documentary short about six blockchain startup founders in Stockholm Sweden, entitled – Founded. As part of project BitJoin i interviewed some of the most innovative people in blockchain, including my tutor at UNIC, world renowned blockchain expert Andreas M. Antonopoulos resulting in a three part series on the subjects of Money, Politics & Business. View all posts by Rich Tella
